SummaryLead staff for the Research department.
Implements design expertise and oversight to support organizational priorities with focus on departmental contributions to scientific strategy for Association.
Provides expertise in research strategy, design and statistical analysis for internal and external data related to the goals of the Association and production and dissemination of research reports.
Implements the internal and external survey process including scheduling surveys, developing, or working with staff to develop survey instruments, collecting data, and disseminating survey results.
Supervises data requests procedures and staff including ensuring adherence to Association policies and procedures, coaching staff and supporting engagement and participation in the workplace.
Supports appointed and member volunteer groups and APTA leadership.
Manages data request compliance and documents and seeks out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities and products.
Effective research representative and champion of the Association vision, mission and brand.
As of the lead for the Research team, you will implement efforts to support organizational priorities and activities within the Research department.
You will support unit efforts with a focus on departmental contributions to scientific strategy, research strategy, design, statistical analysis and report development; systems and data strategy; data request management; Physical Therapy Journal; external and internal research representation; oversee Research agenda and workforce data portfolio; and survey strategy, development, and implementation for the Association.
You will support preparation of compliance requirements and documents and seeks out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities.
Essential FunctionsContributes to design and statistical support for the scientific strategy for the AssociationAccountable for meeting performance expectations and metrics for department and respective budget activitiesCoordinates the staging and sequence of association surveys to members and other stakeholders and develops strategies to gain access to information and input via survey instruments.
Implements the internal and external survey process for the association including advising staff, developing survey instrument, collecting of data, and generating data sets.
Manages the production and dissemination of research reports and other information to the appropriate communities of interest.
Develops and assures preparation of compliance requirements including timely submission of all required formsSupervises staff within the department, assuring adherence to policies and procedures, coaching staff, recruitment and retention of team members and ensuring morale, engagement, and participation in the workplaceProvides recommendations on advancing operations within the department to gain efficiencies, grow revenue, and provide stewardship of association resourcesContributes to quality assurance and continuous quality/performance improvement in department activities, including supporting unit leader in annual assessments of respective budget activities described aboveSupports the Scientific Affairs team in the implementation of the Association's programs, priorities, and projectsManages implementation of appointed and volunteer groups efforts (Scientific and Practice Advisory Committee, Physical Therapy Journal Editor in Chief, and Advisory Board) in partnership with unit lead and staff colleaguesProvides department level data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy respective jurisdictional budget activitiesProvides strategic insight, counsel, data and intelligence to unit leader and executive leadership as appropriate on best practices related to the work of Research, data management and analysis through procedures, briefings, reports and presentationsSupports external relationship growth and collaboration through relationship building with external Contributes to unit efforts to seek business opportunities which align with scientific strategy, the APTA brand, and organizational prioritiesStaff ExpectationsUpholds and fosters team valuesComplies with all APTA policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned to foster achievement of association prioritiesQualifications Masters degree or higher requiredPost professional doctorate preferred5

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
