We are currently seeking an Audio Visual Manager for our Aramark operation at Bolger Conference Center , located in Potomac, MD
Responsible for maintaining all audio visual equipment throughout the ARAMARK managed spaces at this conference center. Remains current on all capabilities and operations of audio visual technology at this conference center. Provides recommendations to the client on equipment enhancements and capital projects based on current industry trends and new technology available This position will interact directly with the General Manager, Conference Planning Manager, Conference Services Manager, and clients to ensure a smooth delivery of services to customers.
Implements and sustains all applicable ARAMARK standards within the conference services department as it relates to audio visual services.
Read and understand operational manuals of all audio visual equipment in-house.
Responsible for all aspects of the audio visual department and AV technicians.
Provide recommendations to the client on equipment enhancements and capital projects based on current industry trends and new technology available.
Assist the General Manager & client in establishing the AV department's long range goals and plans that are realistic, attainable and consistent with the client and ARAMARK operational and financial objectives. Long range planning to included system upgrade recommendations, replacements, preventive maintenance and repairs.
Responsible for the scheduling of AV Technicians as required by the center's schedule of meetings and events.
Responsible for all room sets as communicated by the planning department.
Required to manage to client guidelines and expectations for capital, supply and operational budgets.
Responsible for safe, complete, and timely recovery of all equipment.
Responsible for the maintaining of AV equipment and storage areas.
Maintains preventive maintenance schedules for all AV equipment. Contacts service representatives in the event repairs cannot be done in-house and maintain accurate record of equipment failures
Responsible for ordering any client requested AV equipment the conference center does not currently own/operate.
Maintains relationships with local audio visuals rental companies in order to establish preferred pricing and receive consistent quality service.
Conducts monthly inventories of audio visual equipment. Delivers inventory to General Manager and Conference Planning Manager.
Works closely with Conference Planning Manager to ensure all AV requirements are present for meetings/events.
Direct responsibility for AV Technicians and the day to day set up of audio visual services as specified per banquet event order forms.
Attendance at weekly banquet event order form meetings required. Attendance for other meetings as requested by General Manager required.
Attend continuing education classes during the year in order to stay up to date on the latest AV technologies.
Maintains accurate record of usage of equipment by guests and conveys that information back to the conference-planning managers for accurate invoicing and/or chargeback's.
Responsible for the development, training, and mentoring of team members in a constructive manner.
Responsible for the annual performance review of all AV Technicians.
Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well organized manner.
Provides professional and customer focused service to all guests of the conference center and KPMG internal projects.
Ensures all equipment is meeting ready to include setting up all AV equipment each day for scheduled meetings/events ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
Responds to any request for changes or additions in AV equipment immediately; notifies Conference Planning Manager for proper execution of accurate billing.
Greets each instructor or presenter answering any questions they may have on how to operate their AV equipment.
Responds to any problems with AV equipment and resolves issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Responsible for the annual basic training on all AV equipment, and any newly purchased equipment, for all ARAMARK conference service staff.
Performs all other duties as assigned by General Manager.
College degree in related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the audio visual industry. Previous management of an AV team required. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and work well independently and as part of a team. Strong time management and multitasking abilities required. Must have flexibility in work schedule to include nights and weekends.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
